Nina Dobrev leaving The Vampire Diaries?

News
has started circulating that Nina Dobrev is set to leave the CW hit after its
sixth season.
It
has been reported that Nina wants to leave due to her ex-boyfriend and co-star
Ian Somerhalder’s new relationship. Ian has recently started dating Nikki Reed
a friend of Nina’s whom, Ian and Nina used to double date with back when Nikki
was married and Nina and Ian were dating.
To
add to the tension, it had also been reported that Nikki has set up house with
Ian in Atlanta while he films the sixth season of The Vampire Diaries. This
allows Nikki to visit Ian on set, which obviously must be awkward
Ian and Nina play love struck Damon and Elena on the show
The news of Nina possibly leaving comes weeks after it was
reported that one of the main trio of the vampire hit series has yet to sign on
for season seven, could that one be Nina?
If the news is true and Nina is set to leave, where does
that leave season seven? Could The Vampire Diaries really work without its main
heroine?
