90210 5x05 recap

So in the last episode Naomi found out that Alec told Max about the kiss. This episode Naomi is planning her revenge, although she agreed to try and get along with Alec for Max, Alec isn’t willing to play along. Determined to find some dirt on Alec, Naomi breaks into his office only to be caught out by Alec who tells her to give up but as we Naomi she isn’t going to go down without a fight. Later Naomi finds out that Alec has been tracking her through her phone, so Annie’s date, Colin hacks Alecs phone for her, only for her to find out that there are multiple messages between Alec and Madison. Wanting to know more Naomi tracks down Madison who tells her that Alec suggested she hire Naomi as her wedding planner and that Alec wasn’t very supportive of her and Max either. It looks like Alec doesn’t seem to like any of Max’s girlfriends, what could this mean? Is he jealous?

To out Alec to Max, Naomi invites Madison to Navid and Liam’s pop up club opening, where Madison can tell Max what Alec has been up to.  Alec obviously tries to intervene and after a very strange dance between Alec, Naomi and Madison, Madison ends up on the floor after accidently being pushed over by Naomi. During all of this, Max finds out that his and Alec’s company has been hacked and the company is now in danger, but who hacked them? It was only Colin; well I didn’t see that coming, What’s Naomi going to do now?

Speaking of Colin, him and Riley do not seem to be getting along, probably has something to do with the fact that Riley secretly likes Annie. Anyway, Annie and Colin seem to be hitting it off, when Riley interrupts looking for Dixon and Colin looks to be trying to impress Annie with his vast variety of knowledge on different cultures that he has picked up on his travels. With Colin gone Riley and Annie are left alone and Annie decides to ask Riley a very awkward question about sex, asking for Ade who confided in Annie about her and Dixons intimacy issues. This conversation is strange and awkward for them both, but you can see that the two have a connection and this can also be seen when the two are at the pop up. The two of them seem to be really hitting it off with him mocking her over her sex questions, asking her out for something to eat and even joking about how she can sit on his lap and the two can dance. All of this goes sour though when Colin shows up and Riley does not looks too happy, annoyed he tells Colin that his culture facts are wrong and this annoys Annie because of his rudeness. Has Riley now lost his chance of dating Annie? I hope not. But anything can still happen because Annie doesn’t know yet what Colin did to Naomi. Will she find out?

As we have found out Ade and Dixon, do not seem to be getting on that well, resulting in Ade asking Annie for advice. Annie with advice from Riley tells Ade that their intimacy issues are probably not to do with the accident but because they had issues before the accident. It’s probably also because Ade slept with Taylor in Las Vegas while Dixon was lying on his death bed and I think she knows that’s the issue of their problem. Ade and Dixon still seem to be distant at the pop up with Dixon snapping at her and telling her that his career is important to him, while Ade thinks their relationship is important and wanted Dixon to say the same thing. Annoyed at Dixon Ade storms off to the beach where Taylor catches up with her and the two have a heart to heart which leads to the two kissing. Is this the end of Ade and Dixon? Is Ade going to cheat on Dixon? As this is happening and Dixon is getting ready to perform he starts to get twinges in his back, which Riley is concerned about but Dixon just shrugs them off. Are these Twinges going to harm him in the long run? Will Dixon be ok?

Liam and Navid are also still arguing as both are disagreeing about who should perform at the pop up, with Liam wanting Dixon and Navid against it because of his ‘image’. Seen, as the two cannot agree Liam has decided to get a lawyer and has hired his old teacher from the university who did not like Liam too much. His new Lawyer does not like the fact that she has to work with Liam, but Liam loves winding her up even though she patronises him because she thinks she is smarter and better than he is. Moving on she shows up at the club opening with Liam’s papers and admits to seeing his movie, Incorporate Invaders which surprises him, he then realises that she actually liked the movie and likes him which leads to the two having sex in the storage room!!! Navid finds out that someone has filmed the whole thing and when he sees it, he finds out that it’s Liam with his old teacher.

This episode had two guest stars the first being Nelly Furtado who performed at the pop up and I have to say the song she sang was not really that good and it doesn’t make much sense why a well-known star such as Nelly would perform at their club.

The second being Carmen Electra who works at the burlesque club which Silver has just joined.

Best part of the episode: Annie and Riley at the club until Colin comes and ruins it.

Side notes: *I’ve started to notice Navid doesn’t seem to have any real story line yet. My question is will Navid have a story line this season or is he kinda just there because he’s one of the main characters? I hope he does get a story otherwise his character has gone to waste.

           *Navid still likes Silver, and is trying his best to impress her and to get her to notice him. Maybe there’s still a chance these tow could get together.
