90210 is back!!! Season 5 here, we come.
Although this is
great for 90210 fans like myself and you, this moment can’t help but be ruined
with the knowledge that this is the last ever season. But it’s OK we don’t need
to cry just yet, we have 22 episodes to go of greatness.
So after a long awaited return, the show kicks off with
answering the question everyone had on their minds, What’s happened to Dixon?
Is he dead? Well I can tell you no, he is alive and recovering in hospital. But
that wasn’t before we saw the phone call in which Annie is told Dixon is in the
morgue.
Annie and the gang rush over to identify Dixon’s body,
leaving us on the edge of our seats hoping Dixon was not under one of the three
sheets, and after Teddy and Silver do not identify any to be Dixon, we breathed
a sigh of relief.
In all the Dixon drama, Ade is in Vegas oblivious to what is
happening and has slept with a stranger. What was Ade doing, Dixon was coming
back for you and the end of Season 4. Although not an Ade or Dixon and Ade fan,
I was annoyed at what she was doing to poor Dixon, and all he wanted when he
woke up in the hospital was Ade. I don’t think you’ll want her after you find
out what she’s been up to.
The highlight of the episode was definitely Naomi’s skint in
jail again. In all the drama that is Naomi, she highjacks Max’s wedding,
confesses her love, gets in the wedding limo with Max, the car breaks down and
in classic Naomi style uses her beauty to hitch a ride. But this wouldn’t be a
Naomi experience without unknowingly being part of a robbery and then getting
arrested after driving the getaway car and then getting married to Max while in
jail. These two getting married really started the season off. As a Naomi and
Max shipper, I was really happy that they ended up together and can’t wait to
see how the couple progress in episodes to come. Team Maomi
I don’t know about you but Silver picking Teddy to be her
baby daddy was the best choice, them two would have ridiculously good looking
kids, maybe when their kid reaches 17 he/she will look 30 as well. Although I
love the idea of Silver and Navid together Teddy was definitely the better
option, it’s created a great start up for a story line and who knows maybe
Silver and Navid will find their way back to each other. Although I was
secretly wanting to see how Liam and Silver would work, my heart belongs to
Lannie and I don’t think Liam would have suited the role as a parent unless it
was maybe with Annie.
Overall I think the first episode has setup some great story
lines and can’t wait to see how they unfold, and has set the marker for how the
show is going to go.
Best part of the episode: Naomi + robbery + jail+ wedding = average
day in the life of Naomi Clarke and great TV
Side note: One person I’m not sure about is Max’s friend
Alec, I think he’s one to watch.
